Hello! I’m Lucie, France based makeover addict. I recently took over Christina’s blog and will continue the good work she has done here. When it comes to furniture and decoration items, I like second hand shopping. I’m kind of addicted to thrift stores, yard sales and Facebook marketplace. I love to transform a tired and outdated piece of furniture into a treasure. I’m always amazed how paint can drastically change the look of furniture.
Hello! I’m Christina, the original founder of this blog. I love to repurpose old furniture and thrift store finds. My passion is saving old, worn-out furniture that is destined for the landfill.
Why do we repurpose and upcycle instead of buying new? Did you know that the Environmental Protection Agency reports that 9.8 million tons of old, out-dated furniture goes into our landfills every year! That’s a lot of wasted furniture folks. Of course, we can’t humanly save every little piece. But if we can save a tiny portion of that 9.8 million tons, then our work is certainly not in vain. This picture says it all!
Please take a moment to look around and check out all of our projects. If you have any questions just let us know.
Not only do we save and repurpose furniture, but we also love to visit thrift stores and save other items. Each item we find is upcycled or repurposed and made into a functional and unique, that you will never find in stores. You can see that be looking around the blog.
I hope the blog inspires you to repurpose and upcycle. It doesn’t have to be a full-time job; it can be a little hobby on the side. Imagine the stories you can tell about a unique piece of furniture or home décor you created with your own bare hands!
Lastly, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our blog and our small business. We are very humbled by each one of you who reach out to us, who comment, and who visit our blog. We are truly blessed!
